Beaches - Motril

There are many beaches on the coasta tropical, which is approximately a 25 minute drive from Sol Montana. The main towns are Mortril, Salobrena, Almunecar and Heradurra.

On the beaches of Motril you can sunbathe natural, you can praglide off a mountain and land on the beach or you can simply enjoy fresh seafood down at the marina Motril Club Nautico. It is all possible in Motril! This area enjoys a sub-tropical microclimate.

Motril Granada Beach - on the Costa Tropical

Granada Beach is a large and narrow beach with moderate inflow for swimmers. It is surrounded by lands principally dedicated for agricultural use.

Motril Playa de Poniente Beach - on the Costa Tropical

Playa de Poniente is without doubt the most boisterious beach of all the beaches in Motril. It is full of apartments and has all kinds of services like restaurants, snack bars, hotels, chiringuitos and so on.

Motril Las Azucenas Beach - on the Costa Tropical

Las Azucenas Beach is a long strip of sand between the Puerto de Motril and Torrenueva. It barely possesses any services and with little to no urbanisation it preserves its virgin environment.

Motril La Joya Beach - on the Costa Tropical

La Joya beach is 7km from Motril, between el cabo de Sacratif and penon de Jolúcar, there spreads a succession of coves of different sizes that receive as a whole the beach name La Joya, "The Jewel".

Motril La Chucha Beach - on the Costa Tropical

La Chucha Beach is a relatively calm beach, with a small urban developments in its environment. It has a few services like showers and waste bins and a beach cleaning service.

Motril Carchuna Beach - on the Costa Tropical

Carchuna Beach is an extensive low and sandy beach that spreads from the end of Sacratif up to Calahonda beach almost 3km long. The waters are blue with abundant fishing.
